Media Movie Homework (Action/Adventure)

·      The Title of the movie is Skyfall, it was released on the 9^th November 2012, Sam Mendes Directed it and the stars were; Namoine Harris, Javier Bardem, Daniel Craig and Robert Wade.

·      The sub-genre of this movie is action and adventure. The signifier is about guns and it signifies action because of the character and the background colour black.

·      Bond's loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. Whilst MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. Bond investigating an attack on MI6; the attack is part of a plot by former MI6 operative Raoul Silva to humiliate, discredit and kill as revenge against her for betraying him.

·      The Protagonist of the film is James Bond he is the leading actor in the film. He is very talented and has a sharp mind. He is a convention hero because he always saves the world (what I mean by that is that he always beats the villain). .

·      Judi Dench is the villain who is the antagonist in the film. He is dark skinned; he comes up to a great plan by blackmailing. He is a convention villain because he wanted always to win against the hero and he wants the victory.

·      There is one convention who is on the both side … She wants to find the plan from the villain and the hero side so she can create a problem which they will fight and she will become successful and earn more money. She is the convention because she is from either side which counts even if she is on one side.

·      I think that it signifies about how they fight and the weapons are used , it has a mysterious  location set and has the finest place in the country such as ; Egypt , USA , Spain , the movie poster has the character action and he is in his character mood.

·      There are villain sounds coming as they are making their plan and the sounds is so scary and it makes the audience tensed in the movie. It diegetic sound. These Are Convention.

·      There are close up camera shot. The editing is slow, I think that it wants to get the movie tensed and it wants the movie to be more interesting so that the audience can like it.

·      Yes, the film breaks any conventions of the action and adventure genre. Because the film gives us an idea of how the movie is supposed to be and gives us a dilemma and a heart-breaking situation which  we want to find out more about the film, what’s going to happen ?
